    Re: Running Derek Jeter Thread

I don't need to brag about his accomplishments. They are well known to every one who hasn't lived under a rock since 1996.

So, in addition to having no clue about baseball and no objectivity whatsoever regarding your hero Jeter, you apprently don't have the integrity to stick to your word about taking a hiatus, either.

Just give up the game already.

Yet you do. Remember the old saying: What have you done for me lately? In Jetes' case, it's NADA!

I was going to but people are using this thread to denigrate the Captain. That's not the purpose of this thread. I came back to offer some perspective on the last couple days.

He's not the only one that hasn't had a great series so far. ARod is 0-for the series.

But this thread isn't about A-Rod. It's about future hit king Derek Jeter, the greatest postseason player ever. Remember?

He's still the all time leader in postseason hitting. Five rings and counting.

And that got his SQUAT tonight! Ted Williams wouldn't have fanned to end the game and he's been dead for years.

Which proves your point earlier about Ted Williams and his poor 1946 Series. That was Williams' only postseason appearance. Give him another 14 opportunities, and I'm sure Williams would have had a few stellar outings.

See? That's what it would look like if you actually spoke the truth for once.

Now say it for real and we can move on.

We'll determine the purpose of this thread. The perspective is Jeter blew the last two games whether you want to admit it or not. And truth be told, I'm not a Jeter hater. I just don't think he's Jesus Jr. like you do, Manks. I bet he sucks again tonight when the Yankees will be heading home for the winter.
