    Jackson would have had that ball Jeter hit over his head if the sun weren't in his eyes, Jeter's bat wasn't corked, the ball wasn't juiced and it wasn't for the typhoon, hurricane and tornado winds that aided it!

    The truth is that the Tigers are just praying for Jeter to come to bat in the clutch. Just praying.

    When the Tigers eliminate New York tonight, maybe Jetes should request a trade to Detroit and become his hometown team's backup DH behind Martinez. Too bad he couldn't be their fulltime DH or take over first base from a superior fielder like Cabrera but he's just not skilled enough for that at his advanced age.
