I love talking about Jetes and learning about baseball history from the Mankster!

What happend to Captain Clutch? Time to go skiing, Jetes! (Hey, maybe he can call some of his Kalamazoo buddies and get ALCS tickets at Comerica Park in the front row with Bob Uecker.)

He got a clutch infield single. Meanwhile Gardner looked like a real leadoff hitter.

Verducci doesn't look pleased after getting douched in the face with champagne, wondering why he didn't stay in print.

    This. Right. Here.

I am very close to deciding that after Granderson, who is far and away their best player, Brett Gardner is the most complete player the Yankees have in their lineup. Every time I watched them play this year, he was getting big hits.

Have you heard of a guy named Robinson Cano?

Brain fart. Yeah, Cano's pretty damn good, too. But the point about Gardner still stands. Guy just does a lot of things right.

Gardner should bat leadoff next season and probably for the next few seasons. Overall, Cano is probably a better player than Granderson. Both are very, very good.
