Carpenter for Cabrera is even dumber than some of the crap Yankee fans babble about on sports talk radio.

The Yankees can throw in a couple prospects if thats what it takes.

Especially since Cabrera is locked up for about the next seven years or so. (Can't remember how long of an extension he signed).

I remain convinced Manky is the greatest SJ troll since Bandwagon Boy. I refuse to believe this act is legit.

BTW, Manky, I saw Saracceno a few weeks ago at a game. Full beard. Rumors untrue. So rest easy, lad.

Yeah, they'll give up one of the greatest hitters of his generation to fill a role they already have filled in Doug Fister. Nice try. Could we trade you to Cuba for a box of half-smoked cigars?

Oh, I certainly have my doubts, too, which is why I strongly suggest he return here rather than clutter the legitimate discussion threads whenever I see him stray.

It is fun to see if he can keep topping himself with one dumb argument after the next. He seems to have done it by suggesting that the Tigers would trade Miguel Cabrera for Chris Carpenter.

(Also, if that's true, why would the Cardinals have to bother with Teixeira when they could simply trade directly for Cabrera?)

Hey, teams would love to take on A-Rod's contract just to help the mighty Yankees! We all know how many other teams there are out there with money to burn. You're right OOP, just when you think the Mankster can't be any dumber, he tops himself.

The Tigers have one of the best offenses in baseball. As great as Cabrera is, they can still afford to lose him if they get a top pitcher in return. Carpenter will take some of the burden off Verlander. In a 7 game series the Tigers could pitch Carpenter or Verlander probably 6 of the 7 games.

Detroit's a big spender. If they trade Cabrera to NY they could enter the Pujols sweepstakes

Seriously, this really might be your dumbest argument yet. Bravo.

It's not rocket science. Teams that are more balanced do better in October. The Tigers can score runs but they can't shut other teams down.

Fister's a flash in the pan. Carpenter's the real deal.

Aren't you the one that started a thread about Chris Carpenter being a future Hall of Famer?

Seriously, extra points for actually trying to argue this stupidity.

Carpenter is going to be 37 opening day with a major history of injuries. If the Cards offered him to the Yankees for Teixeira, the only delay in Cashman hanging up would be him laughing at them first. The idea of him bringing Cabrera in a deal is even dumber.
