I could cite many examples of regular, all-star level players that have played multiple positions in one season. It's not uncommon.

Maybe they're worried you'll put a hit out on A-Rod for replacing your hero.

Isn't the Yankees' backup at both positions primarily a shortstop?

I really don't want to argue ARod vs. Jeter. We've already done that.

Who do you think will take the open managerial jobs in StL, Chicago, and Boston?

    I really have no idea.

I do think that any team looking to hire a pitching coach would be wise to hire Rorger Clemens.

I want to know why Jetes wasn't a finalist for the Gold Glove? And Clemens can teach guys how to cheat and be an asshole.

I'm over the Gold Gloves. When Jeter's career ends, no one will care how many he won.

    Jeter still has a career?

If I was you, I wouldn't want to argue Rodriguez vs. Jeter, either. You know your hero loses that one.

Maybe Inge can wear No. 2 when the Yankees acquire him in the Jeter trade ...

The Yanks would have to throw in a top-tier prospect and maybe a PTBN if they want Inge for Jeter. Inge is a far better hitter AND fielder, plus he\'s younger and more charismatic. Think about it...if New York called Detroit and offered Jeter for Inge, the first thing out of the Tiger GM\'s mouth would be, \"Jeter and who?\"

You're either joking, or got Inge confused with someone else. Over the last four seasons Inge has hit .227/.308/.376. And he's gotten worse.

Jeter did not have one of his finest seasons in 2011, but at no point was he ever in danger of being sent down to Scranton.
