Like I said, I was just curious. But that is pretty funny. :D

You still don't get the fact that Jeter is not what he was, not even close, do you?

You also don't understand when people are messing with you, which is really funny since we are all pretty sure that you are messing with us every time you post.

In case you haven't noticed, players aren't hitting .380 or jacking 70 home runs anymore. So, runs and hits are harder to come by.

Meaning, Jeter's 2011 season is the equivalent of hitting .325 with 15-20 homers in say, 2004. In other words a typical Jetes season.

He is same as he ever was.

Same as he ever was ... which isn't an MVP candidate. Miguel Cabrera hit .344 with 30 HR and 105 RBI THIS season. So if you want to revert to '04, what would THOSE numbers translate to? And Jeter is an MVP candidate compared to Cabrera in what way? Oh yeah, Cabrera's team won its ALDS series against ... who again?

When are the MVP winners announced?

Fans reaction seems overly positive. “I still support the Captain!” stated noted SportsJournalists.com comedian MankyJimy. And many claimed they knew all along, so it’s not like it’s a surprise. Another fan simply stated, “I like my beer cold, my TV loud and my homosexuals flaming.” Flame on Captain Jeter!

New Yorkers are nothing if not tolerant. I am just amazed Jeter decided that now was the time to let the world know. You would think if he would have let the world in on his little secret a little earlier he would have had a lot more male suitors. Maybe he has found the right one, and they will be making a trip to Connecticut soon. I do have to say his choosing of Minka Kelly as a beard was an astute choice.

Seriously, you guys will do anything to smear Jeter, won't you?

For the record: he's not gay.

And if he were, who cares?

I'm sure you guys would love to let Jeter have his way with you...

Admittedly, I'm new to this thread, but could I get a short explanation of why there's so much Jeter hate?
