Played the better game? He might eventually make a better pro, but that's just silly. It seems like covering the draft as a beat is bad for your common sense.

What really matters is what Nolan Nawrocki will say unless he is now more tempered behind The NFL shield.

The OSU defenders Mariota can't get away from? They're all that fast in the NFL.

Not seeing a whole lot of big-time throws. I mean, I am, but they're all from Jones.

I mean, if Jones declares for the Draft.....hoo boy.

Mariota shows a great ability to scramble and buy time, but all those 3- and 5-yard passes he throws in that offense isn't very convincing to me that he succeeds at the next level.

His deep post that made it 21-20 was a pretty good throw IIRC

Jones has a big arm. Reminds me a bit of Vinnie Testeverde but better runner.
A little flick of his wrist and the ball goes a mile.

Had to extend for it a bit. But then also looked like he might have slowed up a half step. So let's say it wasn't perfectly in stride but pretty close. Was more accurate than some NFL QBs throw 30-yard passes. Didn't say it was a hard throw, since he was wide open. But fairly well placed. Probably not Mariota's best throw of the night. But a good throw that wasn't one of the"3- and 5-yard passes."

He averaged nine yards an attempt. Had to be more than one long one in there. Take that play out, it's still 7.4 yards an attempt.
