Mariota or Winston?

Mariota was pretty good last night. Not great. Not terrible. Just kinda....fine. Didn't make himself look stupid, but LTL is right. Jones had several throws better than Mariota's best last night.

This year's draft class of QBs is not awesome. I think Kiper has/had a guy from SE Louisana in his top 10, and maybe the Colorado State guy. I'm most interested in Hundley, I think. He could be better than Winston and Mariota.

What about Cardale Jones? He is eligible and given his size and arm strength, he would certainly be near the top of the list for some GM who couldn't help himself

    Jones has three game tapes.

He's....interesting. Big body. Has some Cam Newton in him in the QB power running game. GREAT arm strength. Doesn't get the ball out of his hand quickly, ever. Didn't notice great touch in short or intermediate passing game, though would have to rewatch to say for sure, just my memory. Would love him as a late round draft-and-develop type QB. But he looks years away.

There's a possibility he doesn't play again for tOSU even if he does stay. He could easily lose the job to Barrett (or even Miller, though I expect transferring is Miller's best option). And Meyer landed a commitment from a five-star "athlete."

Yeah. Any idea how close he is to graduating? Could try to transfer.

McShay has Jones as a 4th or 5th round pick right now. Jones can't be that stupid, right?

If he stays and loses the job, what round does he project to then?

Would you determine you're future based on what Todd McShay says months before the draft? The iron is hot and unlikely to get any hotter. He'd be stupid not to explore.

Yes. Best to turn pro after fewer than 100 passes at the college level. Very savvy indeed!!

Might be better than sitting on the bench in college not getting paid.

    Probably a triple major.
