I bet Jones isn't nearly as afraid of competition as some of you seem to be.

Again, it's not just about who is the best quarterback among the three, in a vacuum. It's who is the best quarterback for the system that OSU runs. Jones is a different kind of quarterback than Barrett and Miller, more of a pocket passer. There's more to it than him swinging his big fat dick around and showing you that he's not "afraid of competition." It's not necessarily a fair fight for him.

I'm pretty sure I couldn't beat out any of the candidates, and I'm out of eligibility.

    Are you serious with this?

Teddy Bridgewater, the last pick of the first round in 2014, got a $3.3 million bonus on a four-year, $6.5 million deal.

The highest projected bonus for a fourth-round pick in 2014 was $500,000, and the highest projected contract was $2.8 million. That was the max if a guy makes the team. That's fourth round. If he didn't make fourth round, he'd be looking at $200,000 or less. Shit, he can make more than that by transferring to Auburn.

Here are some cute numbers for you, Guy:

--Johnny Manziel has a four-year, $8.3 million contract including a $4.3 million signing bonus.

--Russell Wilson, third-round pick in 2012, has earned a total of $2.2 million excluding playoff money.

I'd assume that someone who has just completed a three-game stretch like Jones did is well-equipped to play quarterback for Urban Meyer.

Better to make this decision in two days and *hope* someone takes a chance on you in the 4th or 5th round, tho? Right.

I'm sure he is, too. He just might not be as well-equipped to do so as the other two guys, one of whom was twice the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.

If Jones really really wants that quarter of a million dollars, he can see how spring practice shakes out and then declare for the supplemental draft as Pryor did.

I can't imagine all three will return, but if they do, that's going to be one hell of an interesting training camp.

Maybe Meyer will put in two completely different offenses so teams don't know if they're facing the speed guy or the thrower.

Or transfer to a high-level FCS school, put up ridiculous numbers, and declare next year.

That's what I think he should think about. The Joe Flacco option.

And Johnny should thank Wilson for that contract with every breath he has.
