Serious but stupid question (and I'm too lazy to look it up): How many games did Tom Brady start in college?

More than a few. He split time with Drew Henson, I believe. They show him against Alabama in the Orange Bowl on ESPN Classic and Big Ten Network from time to time.

Played 23 games the last 2 years with 4600 or so passing yards and 30 tds and 16 picks.

Thanks. For some reason, I was thinking he was a Cassel-esque outta nowhere guy.

Seems like it. I have zero recollection of him playing at Michigan.

Brady started the '99 season and led a touchdown drive to beat Notre Dame in the season opener, back when that game was one of the real biggies.

He did enough to get to the Shrine Game. And there the scouting report was that he lacked accuracy.

Funny thing. I saw Brady's first day at Pats rookie camp. And he DID lack accuracy. In fact, he looked awful. I guess he just kept looking a little better in succeeding practices.

Yes, shocking that a 6th round pick could look awful on his first day of rookie camp.

I don't think he said it was.

People often wonder how Brady slipped to the sixth round, how the scouts were wrong.

Gee is saying that they weren't wrong. They were right.

    He just got better.

While this year's QB class isn't exactly loaded, it's still pretty damn intriguing, especially if Jones decides to come out. I'll also be interested to see who does and doesn't participate in the combine next month. When do those lists come out?

Brady's mechanics are almost flawless now. He obviously put in the work to get where he is.

Re: Jones, are people really thinking a guy who couldn't crack the SECOND team for most of his college career is going to be a difference-maker in the pros after three starts?
