Mark Whicker, what were you thinking?

Well no shit. Threads like this are a reason most of us choose anonymity.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'd prefer not to have to toggle between usernames based on the content of each individual thread I click. That's way too much trouble for a damn message board.

Especially at a paper that size.

Yeah. You've got to trust your deputies at a paper that size. Although if I'm the SE in OC, I might never go on vacation again.

Back to the point: Has anyone here said anything about what writers and editors plan to do in the future to prevent this type of thing from happening again?

Alright, enough of that. You want to debate anonymity? Start something on Anything Goes. This is about Mark Whicker and the column.

After thinking about it a while, I think Whicker just had a bad day. That's all.

We all have them. Even the Beastie Boys, who remain one of the most influential musical groups of the past 20 years, had them. Even the makers of "Lost," which is arguably the greatest television show of all time, had them.

Hell, look at Oklahoma State. There were a few misguided souls touting them as a potential No. 1, and then they go and lose to crummy U of H.

Anybody can have a bad day, is what I'm saying. Even Tim Tebow, hands down the greatest player in hands down the best football conference in America, has had one or two.

Except he's not hitting that. Which makes for plenty of restless nights.

Moddy just threw his man-purse through a window and doesn't know why.

I agree with Watery Tart. Now you're just toying with him.
