Why would she need to? She's going to win in a landslide and there's never been a question about that.

    Rip Tide belched forth:
I will choose to take that as a compliment.
Fred G. Sanford spoke truth to power and was one of the greatest television characters of all time.
He did not suffer fools gladly and would not have fit into this current sissy world you and your liberal brethren have built for us.

Thinking about selling T-shirts that say:

I support taking all rights away from Muslims except their 2nd Amendment rights

    I'll make a killing.

Think of a gun as a vote for President, what do you have to do to ban someone's right to vote.
That may be challenged as are the laws that require a showing of necessity to get a permit to carry concealed firearms.

Let me make my personal opinion, perfectly clear. Unless you are a member of a well regulated militia, the private ownership and possession of a firearm is not a right. I would ban the private sale of firearms. possession of firearms would be regulated like cars and toxic waste facilities. Require permits to purchase weapons approved for hunting and recreation only. AR-15 is not a hunting weapon. Want to shot a 7.62MM rifle, join the National Guard or Reserve. Only licensed LEO's would be able to carry firearms. People with alcohol and drug related convictions in addition to people with assaultinve convictions would be ineligible to possess firearms.

Didn't George Zimmerman's buddy who owned a gun store refuse to sell to Muslims?

The fundamental illogic underpinning this argument (and many like it) never ceases to amaze me. To hold this position, you have to believe that the authors of the 2nd Amendment thought it really important to say that "the government can't do X unless the government decides to do X."

Point taken. That said, how do you argue more guns makes us safer? "The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," the NRA says.
By that logic, we, home of the largest gun population in the civiized world, shouldn't be the No. 1 purveyor of firearm-related deaths in the civilized world.

I don't care what they intended. I care what it says and how we can use it.

Then why do you care what it says?

Because we live under rule of law. Not "rule of trying to guess what the long-dead people who were writing the laws were thinking."
