And you are doing what you always do. Attacking the media without understanding, honesty or even an attempt to back up your assertions.

Case in point, yanking out part of a quote to misrepresent the statement being made.

    Yeah. You explained it.

And, as part of the explanation, you exempted the source most people receive their news from.

You can pretend that folks look at TV news differently, but they don't.

And, you can pretend that newspapers don't have a political agenda in how they report news, but that would be wrong too.

You can even pretend that precious local papers don't have agendas, but since they don't to original reporting on national stories, the agenda of the big boys filters down.

And, even if you've explained why today's shooting in Miami isn't being treated as a big deal, it still doesn't explain the killing of two white kids in Santa Barbara was a national news story.

Still dodging the request to actually support your arguments, huh? Thank you for proving that you are the real coward here, YF.

Yeah, let's not include TV news in the discussion:

And, political agendas never work their way into straight news coverage:

News organizations typically try to avoid conflicts of interest lest they lead readers and viewers to perceive bias in their reporting.

But the New York Times has given a pass to a fledgling political reporter, whose résumé includes brief stints working for Democratic politicians, including for President Obama’s reelection campaign.

Somebody who once worked in politics is entering a career in writing about it?! That's it. Tear up the first amendment! Ban the media! They've gone too far this time!

Also, nobody here ever said politics never works its way into straight news coverage. Add that to the long list of things you have made up.

Nobody said that, either. A poster did say that TV news folks don't know what they are doing. Accuracy isn't really your thing, is it?

And, because of that, he doesn't want to defend them, and would prefer to leave them out of the conversation when discussing the "media".

Complaining about teevee news ought to be an Olympic sport in this country. More people WATCH teevee news than read newspapers, but those people watching are not doing so to get "news."

What agendas do we have? Be specific. And, use the rationale for news coverage that I've given you repeatedly and explain how that fits into a political agenda.

I mean, you see liberal bias at fucking POLITICO. Ask some of the liberals here how they view it. As a wise man once told me, "you know you're doing something right when BOTH sides accuse you of bias."

Because what you're basically arguing is that, while inner-city gun deaths probably outnumber all other gun deaths by at least 20-1, we should cover every single gun death exactly the same way or not cover any of them. To avoid the appearance of a political agenda.

And, it might just be that the "truth" and a "political agenda" aren't always mutually exclusive. Often, they are, because we're dealing with politicians. But it is possible for something to be both true and politically advantageous to someone.
