They don't make scumbags quite like old Rahm.

He was by far the best option we had for Mayor.

I actually think he's doing an ok job. He's much more pro-business than any of his rivals.

There's an entire cottage industry springing up around these types of items. They sell backpacks with ballistic materials in them, too.

So the Vegas cop killer was also one of those right wing assholes standing up for Cliven Bundy's "liberty" a few weeks ago? The same guys Sean Hannity was giving the hero treatment and saying he was ready to come stand by their side?

    Gee, what a shock.

Score one for the pro-gun people.
A 17-year-old girl was getting out of her car in St. Louis when two men approached, pulled guns, and attempted to use her as a human shield during the ensuing home invasion. Mom and dad saw what was happening, got their own guns, and shot both robbers as they tried to enter the home. One of the robbers died at the scene. The second (who has a rap sheet a mile long, including some murder charges that were dropped because of lack of witness cooperation) was hit three times, somehow made it to a hospital, and was arrested.

I'm sure all school related shootings will take a drop in the next few months. Fox Entertainment is working on the story.

Yeah, get back to me when the parents are ID'd and we find out whether they have rap sheets. Home invasions are almost never random crimes.

To their credit, the Bundys asked him to leave once they realized he was a felon prancing around with firearms.

    This is an interesting piece:

The tl; dr version -- a gun owner who comes from a long line of gun owners (and argued with his wife about whether Joseph Wilcox, the third victim in the Las Vegas shootings, should have drawn his gun) details the increasingly paranoid Big Gun and questions the wisdom of sending out a bunch of poorly trained pistol- and rifle-holders to escalate situations by their presences.

Certainly, it's gotten the attention of my Facebook pro-gun people -- in a good, thoughtful way.

    I respectfully disagree.
He's a thief, weasel, gypsy and tramp ... a creature of Chicago machine politics.
This has little to do with being a Democrat or Republican- this is simply an amoral dude on the make.
But that he was once Obama's pet serpent before he alienated even the unicorn king says enough.

So punish all for the actions of a few; which is to ignore the key symptom. Do we take beer off the shelves because it leads to DUIs?

Beer's one use isn't to kill. I can't kill another human being by using beer properly. I have to take another action, such as driving after drinking beer, for it to be dangerous.
