Wouldn't a publication like TMZ put in for press access for the Masters well in advance anyways as a precaution? I mean I would. If he plays you have access. if he doesn't, you stay home and don't use 'em.

The nearest pond to the media center is the 16th hole. Or on the par-3 course.

You really think that'll stop Stevie? The guy's a goon. Toting them that far will just give him more time to get a few licks in.

I'm guessing that for the considerable future, Steve will be on his very best behavior. In fact, it might not be a bad idea for Tiger to have additional security, so if there is an incident, it won't have to be his caddie to run to his rescue.

You can bet the mortgage on that. When Tiger plays outside Augusta, where the riffraff can get tickets, the security around him will be gigantic.

Is he really a goon or just a guy who acts tough when there are cameras, cops and ropes between him and the spectators?

I'm sure they would. And I'm sure they'd be denied.

If you're expecting fireworks, don't. The ANGC runs the tourney with an iron fist. There's a limited number of tourney badges, and they all have a number on them. Some of the damn things are passed down through generations. If someone acts up, they'll be booted, and said badge will be confiscated.

Like others have said, no way el Tigre was missing the Masters. None.

The people who attend the Masters are, almost without exception, nice and polite. It's not the Phoenix Open or TPC Sawgrass. They won't have to be monitored with an iron hand -- although they will be, of course.
In some form, Woods will address the question, "so, how's golf since your life got so weird?" But it will be an answer totally framed in golfspeak, probably because that's how it will be asked.
Frankly, I'm not so sure that's such a bad thing. I seriously don't care why Woods made chasing strange his hobby. I'm interested in him when he plays golf.

Do you have any examples of this?

Yeah. Wanting to rough up Mizzou doesn't necessarily make one a goon.

Just entirely ridiculous. Boy, am I glad I'm nearing retirement as our profession sinks farther into the sewer.
Half of the fucking posts on this thread concern what TMV will do with the Masters. How did TMV become so fucking important? What will a goddamn helicopter be able to show? What do they think might happen, Tiger finds an out-of-the-way porta-potty for a quickie?
Same with Michael Vick. Why did everybody have to cover his first game, watch his every move? What did they think might happen, he was going to sneak out of the stadium and kill a dog during the 2-minute warning before halftime?
Ask the legitimate questions, most of which have been mentioned in this thread. Anybody can do it. TMV doesn't have to be the one.
