MASTERS running thread

Not the first Dear John letter I've received.

 

Tell every one of them who does it, following Tiger or someone else, to STFU. There's an instant point of improvement for Augusta's "patrons."

 

He can stop driving those balls into the trees like he has throughout the Masters. Everytime I flip the tube on, he's standing under the trees trying to trick shot he way back onto the green.

 

Goosen charging to the top. This could be an entertaining back 9 after all.

 

If Goosen wins do we now say that he's won three U.S. Opens?

 

I haven't watched any of the Masters until today, but he looks like he is striking the ball really poorly. I guess this is why he is the best golfer in the world. He is hitting balls all over the place and still near the lead.

 

this is a great final round. back nine is going to be incredible.

 

Once again, with all the talk of Tiger, Vijay and Phil (Els again if he ever gets his game back), Goosen shows his stuff. Again.

 

Ya know, I'm one of the biggest golf dorks that I know (to the point of actually watching the silly season events when there's othing else on), but I dont think anythingh grinds my gears more than hearing announcers use the phrase "golf shot." You hear it constantly. "Oh Lanny, you won't see a better golf shot on this hole than the one you just saw. Brilliantly played." Well of course it's a golf shot. What the hell other kind would it be? Billiards? Bow and arrow? "Golf" is a needless word.

 

Was I the only one that heard Appleby drop two "fuck" bombs after hitting into the bunker on the last tee?

 

No, but I heard Tiger scream "God damnit! Fore!" yesterday at least once.
