Judge Smails: Oh Porterhouse, look at the wax build up on these shoes I want that wax stripped off there, then I want them creamed and buffed with a fine chamois, and I want them now. Chop chop. Smoke Porterhouse: Yes judge, right away judge. Smoke Porterhouse is ... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0204739/
Anyone here have DirecTV? I hate ESPN but they've teammed with DirecTV and the options/graphics/quality of the HD signal are outstanding. If not for the fact that it is in the 30s where I am I'd feel as if I was walking the course. But to more important matters: I thought by now Tiger would have been declared the winner and the rest of the rest of the field would have withdrawn... : He ain't winning this tournament and, thus, he ain't winning all four majors. I'll say the PGA and maybe the US Open. But I think the over-under on majors this year is 1.
Not sure if he's going to win this one or not, but I sure as hell wouldn't count him out after an even par finish today.
To quote Billy Packer from the Final Four (KU-NC): It's over. ;D Seriously, I thought BEFORE the first tee today he would not win it. Was on the road and got back when he was on 17. Just way, way, way too much love and that prediction of the grand slam, while perhaps designed to gain a mental ege on his competition, was a tactical error. Just an opinion of one hack -- golfer and writer.
I wish people would realize how stupid they sound when they act like Tiger should win every major he enters and that he's more likely to win the Grand Slam than not. It's like saying Ted Williams got a hit every single time he came to the plate.
For those dismissing Tiger, he almost never grabs a tournament by the throat on Thursday. For him, most of the mission is making sure he doesn't shoot a million. He didn't. Friday and Saturday is when he has been known to make his move. (No, I'm not Tiger's apologist, though I can't wait to see how many dispute this given the venom for him on this board.)
Hey GB, I'm guessing English fans have to be happy after today, with Rose, Westwood, Poulter, Casey, Donald, and Dougherty all acquitting themselves well.
