Nothing says "genuine" like a man wearing a mink coat with no shirt in the middle of summer.

They are both scumbags, hope the fight flops.

Yeah. Not rooting for a woman beater no matter how much of a dick McGregor is.

Exactly this. Both guys have reached a new pinnacle in asshole-ishness, but only one is an unapologetic serial domestic abuser.

Hey I understand this is show business, but...

I cannot believe the rope this sport gets. They are calling each other bitch, one of them called the other a "faggot" today. Two years ago, an NHL player was suspended a playoff game for using that term. No one heard it, but the cameras made it pretty clear. This season, a Toronto Blue Jay was suspended, what, two games for it?

We're supposed to worry about concussions and boxing/MMA gets 25 a night.

I loved boxing and am curious about MMA, but either you give a shit or you don't. No cherry picking.

The Blackhawks beat writer is openly gay. He has said Saad was pretty devastated afterward. I mean, he did it. But he made amends.

Shaw not Saad, just in case someone quotes this.

That was a good story by Christopher Hine. I'm not disagreeing with you...but why those guys punished and these two get a free pass?

For some reason combat sports aren't held up to the moral standard the big team sports are held to.

But it wasn't long ago team sports were in the same boat.

I could not care less if these guys are racists or homophobic. The wife beating is another level, but I still wouldn't have it prevent him from boxing. I don't have a problem if players in the team sports are awful people either.

I don't need pro athletes to be beacons of morality. I can hate their actions and viewpoints and stomach them being participants in sports, but I'm in the minority on that.

Why not just hate these awful guys and root against them, and root for the good guys?

They're not exactly getting a pass. Neither is celebrated in the court of public opinion.

Mike "I'll fuck you 'til you love me, faggot" Tyson was pretty despicable all around, and people were well aware of it. They just didn't care.

I'm not sure it's any different for any other athletes who are good enough that people want to see them anyway.
