You can't do a rematch unless this at least looks like a close fight, or if McGregor wins. A Mayweather walk to a boring, unanimous decision (the most likely outcome in my mind) probably finishes the whole thing. Mayweather retires 50-0, and McGregor takes his $100 million and disappears in Belize.

So UFC will be the promoter/sanctioning body for the rematch? How much money do you think they will come up with for Mayweather?

I'm sure it would be a joint operation between UFC and Mayweather Promotions. No doubt it's probably Mayweather selling this fight, but he's said more than once he's not opposed to talking about a rematch in the Octagon. Even if he were to completely dominate McGregor in an embarrassing manner, I don't think they'd have a hard time selling a rematch, on McGregor's terms and turf. And sheep would flock to it, completely forgetting about the shit show the boxing match was.

Alright, it's prediction time. I am sticking with my original prediction - Mayweather TKO when McGregor fails to answer the bell for the 7th or 8th round.

Who ya got? Anyone going to actually pick McGregor?

So I won't be watching after all. The ad agency that was going to host a private viewing found out it was going to cost $2,150 to get the fight.

Sticking by my prediction of Mayweather by unanimous decision. I think McGregor will win a couple of rounds, but will fade and probably get frustrated because he won't be able to hit Mayweather enough to knock him out. I think there could be a couple 10-8 rounds by Mayweather. I don't expect a knockout by Mayweather. In fact, I think if there's a knockout, it'll come from a perfectly-placed punch by McGregor.

That said, if I were betting on the fight, I'd throw some money on McGregor, because why not? I buy lottery tickets every week and never hit, so what's the difference? I'd take a shot on McGregor pulling off the upset. It beats betting the sure thing only to lose. LOL

Cannot see McGregor doing anything respectable (as a boxer); guy has never boxed before and now you're asking him to go into the ring, using boxing rules, against probably the slickest boxer in the world? No way, just inconcievable unless Mayweather has a total brain fart and lost every skill he had.

I think mcgregor has a good shot for a knockout in the first two or three rounds bc he has nothing to lose and will fight as such. He can't match up technically so he has to have it earlier, if at all. I'll say mcgregor in the third, in part bc I wanna see Money hit the canvas

I appreciate the courage of this prediction. And if I had to root for any result, it would be this one.

I think Mayweather will pummel McGregor much the way he pummeled Arturo Gatti.

Gatti unbelievably took it for six rounds, but I'd say McGregor will be able to withstand two or three before he either falls or the fight gets stopped.

If the fight is legit, I have Mayweather in 4.
