A lot of buyers will be hoping to see just that - whether they hate MMA and love boxing or love MMA but think McGregor needs to STFU.

Which one is Bobby Riggs and which one is Billie Jean King?

I don't want to hear anyone who orders this PPV complain about being ripped off.
MMA people say McGregor has "combat sports experience" and he could always land a lucky punch. Mayweeather has fought big punchers before. Those guys had much more boxing experience. If they couldn't land a big punch, why would some newbie be able to do it?

Even if it is a straight-up boxing bout, didn't anyone learn anything from the Ali vs. Inoki debacle? A trained boxer vs. a non-boxer is a farce.

So have you never seen a Mayweather bout? You are describing precisely the opposite of what he does.

True... but Mayweather typically fights against professional boxers.

Mayweather is smart. Odds are he stays out of reach and sticks Conor with jabs till his eyes swell, then goes in after him.

Yeah, against real boxers, which mcgregor is not.

This argument of yours is worse than your noise rage thesis.

Sure. I'll bet you the fight last more than 30 seconds. Terms?

Mayweather's genius is in the art of not getting hit, he has never been a knockout artist. Which is why nearly all of his fights go the distance.

He's not gonna completely change the way he fights and go chasing after a first round KO for Conor McGregor.

Like most of Mayweather's recent bouts, I suspect this will probably be a disappointingly boring affair. McGregor won't be able to lay a glove on Mayweather. And Mayweather will cautiously and methodically pick apart McGregor.
