I think he'll go back to MMA. He got his big payday, he got his name out there in the mainstream media and he probably snagged a few boxing fans along the way. I don't think he'll fight for much longer though, I think he'll probably finish out his contract with UFC (he owes Nate Diaz another fight, which could be his next payday) and then he'll retire around 32 or 33.

For as much beef as they had (was it pretend?), McGregor and Mayweather are very similar. McGregor knows how to promote himself. He's definitely a self-made UFC star, they didn't do a whole lot early in his career to push him. He pushed himself with the Mystic Mac stuff. Because of that, I don't see how he'll stick around the UFC too long because UFC is notorious for not giving their fighters their fair share.

He should follow The Rock's lead and head to Hollywood. Play the bad guy's enforcer in the next Bond movie. Do the next episode in the Fast & Furious series. Paychecks will be smaller, but he won't be kicked in the face as often.

I had the same thought. He has nothing to prove in UFC and a ton of work to put in to be a moderately successful boxer. Retirement has to look pretty attractive now.

After the press tour - and the loss, you wonder if his "banter" would even sell. It helped him stand out in the UFC, it made for some fun soundbites aimed at Floyd, but he's not going to fight Floyd again. Is he going to take the rhetoric down a couple notches? He should do movies now. He could probably get $5 mil a picture.

I think he could probably be a decent actor, but I honestly think his ears are too fucked-up looking for the big screen. He couldn't play anything other than a gangster or a heavy.

No one was ever thinking of hiring Conor McGregor as their leading man for a rom-com.

I don't know. "The World's Least Tender Lover" could be a box-office smash.

Or a Saturday Night Live skit.

Not sure too many casting agents would be interested in a 150-pound "enforcer."

He's about the same size as Chuck Norris. Needs to work on his "grizzled" look, but the crazy tattoos help.

Jason Statham is about 170 pounds and he seems pretty credible.
Daniel Craig, Sylvester Stallone and Jean Claude Van Damme are all under 200 pounds. Tom Cruise weighs 150 pounds and he's an action star. Vin Diesel, famously, is about 5-9.
If you can move, have a screen presence and look muscular, the camera can cover for a lack of mass.

Those are big "ifs," and I just can't see what McGregor has brings to the table that, say, Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture didn't. They fizzled pretty quickly.
