Oh yeah. Hate Mayweather too. Is there some way they can both lose?

This is ultimately what will likely keep me from buying the PPV. As a boxing and MMA fan, I'm incredibly tempted. But I just can't square my conscious with actively lining these guys' pockets. It was the same reason why I didn't buy Mayweather/Pacquiao, but this time I dislike both sides of the equation.

I freely admit I'm horrible for getting a little chuckle out of McGregor's "I'll hit him so hard he'll learn to read" jab.

And thus McGregor landed his best shot of the fight more than two months before stepping foot in the ring.

Actually, I think he said it more like two years ago, but the point stands.

McGregor might not be a good person, but he's a fight writer's dream.

First press conference for these two is today at 4 p.m., just a day after Floyd gave Conor some choice shit-talking material:

McGregor: Mayweather ‘should have paid his taxes’

Also, the price has been set for this one: $89 in standard, $99 in HD. That's a spicy meatball for this level of silliness.

How does that price compare to other recent big fights?

I know we got the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, but I don't remember what it cost.

That's the exact same price as Mayweather-Pacquaio was.

Shit, even Wrestlemania goes for $60 a pop these days.

Yeah, as MC said, it was the same for Mayweather/Pacquiao. Mayweather's fight against Berto was $74.95.

As for other recent big fights not including Mayweather, the Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev fight in June was $69.99 in HD. So was Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Chavez. But obviously none of those names are as big as Mayweather or McGregor.

For comparison's sake, most UFC cards are $60.
