If Kolb fucks up, Vick is in and the Eagles are rolling. Actually, this trade isn't that bad. I don't think it's a repeat of what happened in 1964. The Eagles weren't going to win the NFC crown this year with McNabb. They got something for him. Besides remember you're talking about Dan Snyder who has a trak record of screwing things up.
The Birds, with a few breaks, can make the playoffs.

I've always thought the Eagles have one of the best front offices in the NFL. Most of the times they let guys walk or trade them, they wind up looking pretty smart down the road.

This is the only way this makes sense for them. If they think the Redskins are so bad that they won't compete in the East next season or if they truly are rebuilding (doubtful). Either that, or they really think Kolb is the real deal.

I've never been a McNabb fan. The Eagles should have won at least two Super Bowls during his time there, and I truly believe he is the biggest reason they didn't. Does that mean he's a bad QB? Absolutely not, but I don't think he's capable of leading a team to a Super Bowl win.

What this does for the Redskins is allow them to upgrade a position for the next 2-3 years without having to use a top pick on a QB like Clausen, who really has no business being taken in the top 10 of the draft.

I guess this proves that no one else wanted McNabb and the Eagles felt like they had no choice but to deal him to the only team that wanted him. But if the Redskins beat Philly next season, the Eagles are going to look like they made a colossal blunder. And while I'm not a big McNabb fan, he is an upgrade over Campbell and will make the Redskins better next season.

And that will make the great, the wonderful, the sanctimonious prick known as Dan Snyder go nuts. Boy, Donovan thought playing in Philly was bad with the fans...

I don't see how it's McNabb's fault they never won a Super Bowl when Andy Reid overcoaches the passing game even though there often wasn't much there in terms of decent receivers who can stretch a field and make your offense work. On top of that, the biggest problem with Philly's offense has been their ground game. In obvious running situations, the Eagles almost never get a clutch 3rd and 1 when they really need it. Short yardage situations is something they have never been built for, and there comes a time in certain situations, especially in the playoffs, when you have to be able to come through. They rarely do. And that goes back to Andy Reid again.

    1. McNabb agreed to the Redskins trade because of one thing (man). Mike Shanahan.
    2. To blame McNabb for the Eagles not winning Super Bowls is a massive overstatement. Headbutt is right. On offense, a lack of balance is what has hurt the Eagles. In the team's NFC playoff losses, the last two were on the defense, not McNabb. The one playoff loss where he really sucked was against Carolina in 2003, but that's about the only one.

That's ridiculous. NFL playoffs are a battle of QBs. The other 88 players, plus the coaching staffs, are completely irrelevant.

When it comes to McNabb, ''loaded for bear'' means a lot of uncatchable passes

Has anyone heard/seen a report that the SKins tried to interest the Eagles in a straight-up swap for the malcontent Haynesworth?

If we are going to call out McNabb for not winning a Super Bowl in 2004 with all of his options then we should call out Peyton Manning for only winning one title with Harrison, Wayne, Clark and Edgerrin James/Marshall Faulk/Joseph Addai.

Not every good offense can win a Super Bowl.

This allows the Redskins to draft Tebow in the 3rd round
