I remember him being pretty awful against the Bucs in the NFC championship game as well.

I covered the Carolina game as well, and McNabb was indeed horrible. Of course, so were all the other Eagles on offense. No way they would have beaten the Pats in the SB even if they'd won, though.

That was especially surprising after he had led the Eagles to playoff victories over them the previous two seasons.

    Hell, Carolina almost beat them.

And that was Tampa playing in the cold too.

I'd have to check the box score, but I don't think McNabb threw a TD pass against the Bucs. He lost back-to-back NFC Championship games at home without throwing a TD. I'm sorry, but that's pathetic.

10-of-22 for 100 yards and three picks -- who does he think he is Jay Cutler?

That's a very fair point. I think Peyton gets way too much credit as well.

As far as the Redskins, I feel they could be a 7-8 win team without McNabb next year. With him, I think McNabb could buy a few more wins, and I think Philly drops considerably (not buying Kolb just yet, and his backup is freakin Michael Vick), the Giants won't improve significantly, and I have a wait-and-see attitude on Dallas.

Shanahan and McNabb, just in presence and competence, is more than enough for 2-3 more wins out of the Redskins, if not more.

Even moreso, look at the Patriots Brady/Moss/Welker and the 8-headed running back monster also haven't won a title together. There are a lot of good offenses. They can't always win. Just because McNabb only went to, what, 4 or 5 NFC Championships and never won a Super Bowl doesn't make him a crappy, underachieving QB?

Is Jim Kelly a crappy underachieving QB?

Kelly went to four straight. Only once were they a favorite and I think it was by a point.

In his second game back after breaking his ankle.
