This would be my top 10 for next season, so technically McNabb would make the top 10 if Roethlisberger is charged and suspended.

    1. Manning
    2. Brady
    3. Brees
    4. Rivers
    5. Rodgers
    6. Favre
    7. Romo
    8. Eli Manning
    9. Romo
    10. Roethlisberger
    11. McNabb

I think Flacco makes the jump right to about where Roethlesberger is. But the point is taken. McNabb isn't a top-5 QB and would another slot down on that list had Warner not retired.

Is Romo really so good that he deserves the No. 7 and No. 9 spots on the list?

And is it just me or does McNabb look miserable at this press conference?

Romo - can't win the big one from either slot.

I flip-flopped Romo and Eli a couple times, so I guess McNabb does make my top 10.

Going into next season, who would you rather have Matt Shaub or McNabb?

Three times. 2002-04. I'm a season ticket holder so I got a good view of the first two debacles and then got to the 2005 NFC Championship game despite a storm that dropped over 2 feet of snow in Philly.

In the '03 game against the Bucs and the '04 game against the Panthers, McNabb wasn't very good obviously, but I don't pin either loss on him. The game against the Bucs was his second game back after a broken ankle and the defense was horrible that day. Joe Jurevicius running away from the secondary for an 80-something yard gain in the second quarter will haunt me forever. Against the Panthers, the receivers were absolutely atrocious that day. I believe Todd Pinkston said after the game that there was, "no sense of urgency." Really? In a NFC Championship game?

Schaub without a doubt. I'd take Flacco and Matt Ryan, too.

The belief that young quarterbacks are destined to improve on an annual basis is a touching element of this board. McNabb was, is, and I'll bet always will be better than Flacco. Shaub's a good thrower, but people here accuse McNabb of having personally lost more playoff games than Shaub has ever appeared in, because he never has. Matt Ryan, promising player, and that's all.

Is McNabb well into the back nine of his career? Yes. But there's no evidence he doesn't have a few birdies left to put on his card.

I'd argue the best pick the Redskins have made in recent memory was drafting Chris Cooley in the third round.

After all the bellyaching about the Redskins passing up Kellen Winslow II to draft Taylor, they got a guy who ended up producing much the same way Winslow was expected to. And we all know what happened to Winslow.

I'd put Ryan and Schaub over McNabb. I'd still have Flacco behind him.
