Good for him. I never cared until he started playing for the Redskins.

And Wicked is correct. McNubb is far from the biggest problem with the team. But he has been a problem so far, in that he has sucked major ass.

What makes you think McNabb won't be in D.C. next year? Think Shanahan will trade for his boy Cutler?

Why the hell would McNubb want to stay now?

    And no.

Where else is he gonna go? Won't be much of a market for an aging QB coming off a shitty year.

Couldn't tell you. I just doubt it'll be Washington.

    Next year? Minnesota.

    If Chilly is still there.

Oh sure there will. There isn't a more overrepresented group on NFL rosters than "seasoned savvy veteran quarterbacks."

If you can start a couple dozen games at QB in the NFL, you are basically set until age 40 because no matter how bad you currently suck, some idiots will want you around to "mentor the young quarterback."

Of course, the "seasoned savvy veteran" almost always still wants to play.

The best thing a "seasoned savvy veteran" can do for a young QB (or any player) is to retire and get the fuck out of the way.

Sonner, I'm disappointed in you. Take off your rose-colored Shanahan glasses that are redder than his face after he gets out of the tanning salon. Shanahan absolutely sabotaged the team on Sunday and him and his henchman (i.e. his son) have done nothing but trot out three different excuses. That decision to pull McNabb was nuclear weapons-grade horrible and absolutely sucked all the wind out of the team going into the break. You think the players have any faith in him right now?

And the thing that really pisses me off is that this team is BETTER than 4-4. It is more than CRYSTAL CLEAR that Shanny's little feud with Haynesworth was COMPLETE AND UTTER BULLSHIT. Can you imagine if Haynesworth had played all eight games? My lord. Skins could and SHOULD be at least 5-3.

Shanny is a complete and total megalomaniac and it has hurt the team in so many ways this season. McNabb is running for his life on every pass play, he's got no one over 5-5 to throw to and the OL can barely hold it together for Torain to take off. Yeah, Grossman might not be named starter for the next game but pulling McNabb with 1:25 to go in a winnable game shows the Shanny is totally capable of pulling Singletary's out there.

And I know you're not really making excuses for Shanny but he is the #1 guy most worthy of finger-pointing right now. Shanny gets a D+ grade at the break because he got a ZERO for the Lions game.

The Redskins suck. Especially the offense, which managed to put up a grand total of 0 points against the Bears in a span of six consecutive possessions that included five turnovers. They're playing way over their head at .500.

Isn't the bottom line that the Redskins are better this year than last year? (Wife sings Hail to the Redskins so I have to pay attention to the team.)

Not sure they will be when it's all said and done. Like the Bears, the Redskins' record is quite deceiving.
