You ain't kidding -- this would be crazy even if McNabb were playing well and getting along just fine with the Family Shanny.

Apparently Snyder just decided he had a few dozen million bucks he wanted to throw out the window, with the happy side-effect of totally strangling his salary cap (in addition to the wasted money).

Not to mention it undoubtedly exponentially increases the probability at some point he is going to have to buy out Shanahan and staff, too.

That has to be the most expensive apology ever extended. I hope McNabb is gracious at the surrender ceremon..., I mean, contract press conference.

Be interesting to see if Shanahan is on board with this.

Adam Schefter just tweeted that Albert Haynesworth is about to sign an extension.

If this was any organization other than the Redskins, Cowboys or Raiders I would say, "Oh, he'd have to be..."

    But, you never know...

Take the stupid, fat quarterback and sign him to a stoopid, phat contract. Makes sense to me.

As one of my friends said on Twitter, Kobe's wife has to be livid someone just made eight times the apology money she did.

I just explained this story to my boss and said "We should see if the Redskins need a marketing team, we could clean up."

Absurd. How old is McNabb, I'd give him a 2-year contract, max. And that includes this year because we know there might not be football next year.

This has to be one of the worst contracts in NFL history, maybe sports. This is worse than Juan Pierre or Darren Dreifort with the Dodgers stupid.

I'm sure the NBA has had worse contracts.

If you had told me the Redskins signed McNabb to a 4-year, $40 million deal with $10 million guaranteed I would have told you they were insane.

Schefter now tweeting that this offer's been on the table - in this exact form - since October. McNabb just realized he'd better grab it.
