Wow! How this falls in line after what happened just two weeks ago is amazing. You do everything but call McNabb a "special needs" student then turn around and guarantee $40M for a 34 yr old QB. Hard to fathom. Guess if you are going to be subjected to racism, its better to get it from a rich, racist organization.

So much for shaming the union into taking a revenue cut.

Do people really belive Shanny is on board with this? I think Snyder promised Mike all kinds of control, then just did whatever he wanted and said: deal with it. So either Shanahan figures out a way to work with McNabb or he walks away from huge money in his own deal.

The moral here is never believe Snyder about anything.

This is the real reason some NFL owners want a salary cap.

Mort says the Skins have a way to walk away from this relatively unscathed but offers no specifics. Yay, reporting.

I do, actually. Shanny has never been afraid to bench his QB, no matter. Plus, they gave up a 2nd round pick and a 4th round pick for this guy, who could walk after this year. If he did, who would play QB? The only others they have on the roster are Rex Grossman and John Beck. Both would be significant steps backward. Ok, so you draft a guy real high, but even then your offense is moving the wrong direction until (and that's an if) he gets it. McNabb had more options than the Skins did, in the long run.

Amazing how a quarterback with all those millions can't give his team four quarters.

Despite it being a horrendous, irresponsible deal on the Redskins' part, I feel good for McNubb. Dude's been shit on most of his career. He essentially hit the lottery today. Good for him.

    Sooooooo -

D.C.'s baseball team won't give a player probably in his prime a four-year deal, at the end of which he'll be just 35?

The football team will give a player past his prime (and probably past his days of being very good) this deal?

Lord. Can you disown your hometown?

The Caps are the best-run team in that city by a wide margin. Not that the bar is very high. Like laying on the ground.
