McNab sucking is still better than Rex at his best.

all teams rarely make a mistake when ridding itself of a longtime star they see has lost it. the tipoff for all of us was reid trading donovan to a division rival. he knew there was little reason to fear getting burned...

You're right, but I was speaking more the fury from the fans/some media that came with letting all those guys go. You can probably add Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan to that list as well.

I mean....at this point, it's obvious McNabb isn't gonna be here next year. And we're out of the playoff hunt. So, why not see what you have in Grossman and Beck.

Honestly, none of it matters at this point. Grossman and McNubb have 3 games left with the Skins. Hopefully. McNubb is gonna be the 3rd QB (inactive??) the last three weeks.

    via Grant Paulsen...

Chris Cooley: "I don't think in it's in any way a slap at Donovan. At this point in the year, it's not going to hurt us."

For all the talk about Shanahan having control over personnel, I never this as his move, but Dan Snyder's. Shanahan has never wanted a black quarterback and never seemed confident in McNabb. I'd be shocked if McNabb was back in Washington next year. So it's either Grossman or go get some one via trade, draft or free agency.

Once upon a time, Grossman did take a team to the Super Bowl, which is something that, say, Tony Romo or Michael Vick has yet to do.

How do you know he never wanted a black QB?

Wow! And Grossman took the Bears to the Super Bowl as much as Trent Dilfer took the Ravens and Brad Johnson took the Bucs.

McNabb will go someplace else next year and he'll be good. Remember too, Brad Johnson was once a Redskin and a certain owner didn't have confidence in him there.

Shanahan is to blame for some of these decisions, but the blame ultimately rests at the top with one Dan Snyder.

And now my ME is asking what was so funny ... Luckily he's a cool guy.

We can point to actual, objective reasons why Grossman's team's records aren't reflective of his own abilities.

You can't do the same for Lovie Smith, just like you've declined to answer about half-a-dozen times who you'd want to replace him and why you think that person would be better.
