Does Vick even enter the conversation? Is Kolb really a better QB?

He shouldn't. Guy was overrated as a starter in Atlanta, and he has hardly played since 2006. The Eagles wouldn't have made this trade if they didn't believe in Kolb. It's his job to lose. But I'm sure Vick will do plenty of whining along the way, and the Vick sycophants will be rooting for Kolb to fail.

If Kolb is a good NFL starter.

If not, then they pissed away a good group's shot at a trophy.

How many titles did they win with McNabb? He was a good QB for the Eagles -- very good at times -- but I'm pretty sure if the Eagles thought McNabb could get them to the Super Bowl at this point in his career, they wouldn't have traded him.

Sadly, it's become just another Sunday on the calendar.

Just because a team trades a QB, it does not mean that they are washed up.

I can think of Young, Plunkett, Williams, Favre and Brees as quick reference points.

Didn't say he was washed up. But he's on the downside of a career in which he couldn't win a title at his best. Once again: If the Eagles thought he was capable of getting over the hump at this point, they would have kept him. The Eagles got the best out of McNabb. Now, with an eye toward the future, the powers that be are doing what they think is best for the franchise.

Kolb is a West Coast QB. Plus, it seems like he is already a team leader, from what I've been reading over the past few weeks. Younger players were going to him during the season and no one (other than Leonard Weaver) really came out and supported McNabb during this whole process.

That being said, like any trade, we'll know who got the better end of it in about three years.

A 2nd a 3rd/4th for a QB who is miles better than Jason Campbell? I think this is a good trade for the Skins. Yea, the line sucks and the receivers are lousy, but Campbell isn't ever becoming a top tier QB. This fixes one problem, if only for a few years.

That's assuming McNabb's contract gets extended.

Kolb better be the next coming of Aaron Rodgers. If not, whoa buddy.

Kevin Kolb MAY turn out to be a superior QB. The assumption he's ready to come in and do better than McNabb has next to no evidence to support except that the Eagles think so. That's not good enough for me, but of course they could be right.
