i thought iowa was a nice break from nebraska.

Iowa was OK. Just fields and fields of corn.

Nebraska was fine until the western third. At that point, I was wondering if I had fallen off the planet - or least into a parallel universe.

 

did you come back into neb. driving east? what's up with the statue?

 

Nah, drove west. So I started in Omaha thinking things wouldn't be too shabby. Then it got desolate. Then I was wondering when I'd need an oxygen mask and an anti-gravity suit. It got a little desolate.

 

the museum in the middle of nowhere, the one that hangs over the freeway, sure does wake you the 'eff up, though.

 

That museum isn't even halfway through the state, though.

 

I've spent the past few weeks researching it, and I'm here to tell you there's no other message board in the world which has a thread even faintly resembling this.
