Elizabeth thought that's what she wanted from "Clark" in The Americans. Didn't exactly go as she had hoped, though. ;)

If I were a woman dating in 2017, it’s difficult to imagine why I wouldn’t date exclusively using online methods to maintain a relatively safe and rigorous screening process in place.

I was referring to the Canadian talk show thing, not the TRL thing.
"In an interview this week,Losique told the Hollywood Reporter she was not uncomfortable with Affleck’s behavior. "This was for the camera," she said. "You have to understand that we have done dozens and dozens of interviews like that. It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim. When the cameras rolled, we would start to do that game. As soon as it stopped rolling, there was none of that. He never touched me in any improper way. He was very respectful, I must say."

Understand my original post, I don't know if anyone counts Affleck as someone with a good rep. And this is why.

That Barstool/ESPN show will be canceled before I finish typing this post.

If you're trying to get this site to agree that the media has fast and loose liberal bent - and that said bent is a bad thing - good luck.

Twitter has shaped journalists in a bad way.

The echo chamber of approval it fosters?

It proceeds like this, I imagine, @Alma:

    (1) People I like really like what I wrote!

    (2) People I don't like really don't like what I wrote!

    (3) Hence, I wrote it correctly.

And with each instance, the line for what constitutes acceptable, dispassionate journalism moves ever so slightly. And one day you wake up and New York Times doesn't even feel it needs a public editor any more.

You created an entire thread based on this argument and your ridiculous definition of people avoiding stating the obvious doesn't fly any more here than it does there.
