Some (many?) of those tunnels run into Egypt. I reckon the Egyptians could shut them down at a second’s notice, if they wanted to.

Three Americans killed, 'many' wounded in drone attack by Iran-backed militia in Jordan, Biden says

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Three American service members were killed and “many” were wounded in a drone strike in Jordan, President Joe Biden said in a statement Sunday. He attributed the attack to Iran-backed militia groups.

They were the first U.S. fatalities in months of strikes against American forces across the Middle East by Iranian-backed militias amid the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, increasing the risk of escalation.

The Sinai has long been outlaw territory. Islamic State has a presence there, but local bedouins are also known for robbing, kidnapping and killing.

Houthis rebels launch drone attack on British Navy ship HMS Diamond

A Royal Navy warship successfully repelled a drone attack by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea on Saturday, the defence secretary has announced.

Grant Shapps said the UK remained “undaunted” after the assault by the Iran-backed rebel group, adding that the government’s commitment to protecting innocent lives and the freedom of navigation was “absolutely unwavering”.

Pakistan is a military-run dictatorship with a faux democracy slapped on top. Khan lost that no-confidence vote after the military turned on him, and then ended being jailed for three years for supposed corruption after Nawaz Sharif took power.

Now with an election coming up and Khan remaining very popular, he gets another 10 years for revealing state secrets, even though the case was a questionable cipher case in which he never actually revealed a state secret, he just kept making conspiracy claims and he waved a piece of paper at a rally that was supposedly a letter that related to the conspiracy he keeps alleging to remove him from office.

Khan is not a good guy, but neither is Sharif (although he's less hostile to the U.S., why we weren't outraged by the first conviction). Whatever is happening to Khan right now is not justice, it's raw power fucking a rival.
