Huge. Sure. What has changed anything in Russia? A failed war against a much smaller country, a farce of a democracy, opponents being jailed and killed openly, economic sanctions, a society in a downward spiral because of of a declining economy and population?

Russia has always been a backward nation that has an outsized influence on history due to its size and position. It should just fall apart.

Been reading a little about this one over the last week or so. I think the wildcard is how we respond.

The Fox headline overstates the issue. The ruling party got trounced in parliamentary elections and, as they so often do, top party officials offered their resignation as a way to show contrition and take responsibility. It's particularly worrying for the ruling party as President Yoon Suk-yeol was starting to see some signs of life in his approval rating after years of being underwater, but now he's all but locked into lame duck status for the rest of his term.
