It's a complaint from an outside group, not the IRS proper.

Seems to me it would still be a damn good use of taxpayer money to get a corporation raking in millions under the guise of being a "charity" to actually pay taxes.

Not only do bowl directors make about 6 times what they should make, but they're considered nonprofit to avoid paying taxes, so they take all this excess money they bring in, and just spend the ever-living shit out of it.

That's why these tools are at all these different games every weekend, "scouting" potential teams.

In this tight economy, nobody knows how to blow money better than bowl games.

And I assume that's why sportswriters get media gifts. They don't know what else to spend money on.

I think "Death to BCS" also unearthed that several bowl games use state money to help fund their games.

    It's a slimy, slimy system.

If he gets it done, I'll vote for him in 2012.

Seems the BCS title game gift was a computer bag.

  9. Not enough to get my vote if he gets it done, but I'd certainly give him props for it.

I'd question his authority to force the change.

    But that's just me.

Theodore Roosevelt set the precedent in 1905 of a POTUS dictating changes to college football.

  12. I'm not sure that really matters.
