Does having extra thin skin qualify a person for MENSA membership?

I'm not in MENSA, but I am mulling an invitation from the Douchebag Club.

Sports editors -- heck, most editors -- like their people to be meat-eating, belching, flatulating oafs. Mentioning you're in MENSA will not help your cause.

We used to have a MENSA club come to the bar once every couple of months to play NTN. Haven't seen them in a while. They usually got their asses kicked, trivia wise, by the bar regulars. They were harmless enough, but they invited me to a MENSA party, and I, um, declined.

While I don't share Wicked's assessment of what would make an ideal job candidate, no, I think sticking MENSA on your resume would look silly and pretentious. You want to participate in the club social stuff, fine. Leave it off of your job qualifications.
