Merry Christmas in jail for Charlie Sheen

How nice for the rest of the staff. Read something today about Sheen heading off to the Bahamas this weekend with his ex-wife and two porn stars. If true, I'm guessing no one in that crew is considered a sponsor. Or sober coach. Or whatever the hell he pretends to have.

As far as the crew is concerned, this is actually the best possible outcome, because they're no longer in limbo waiting for Charlie to pull yet another stunt and they're all free to get new jobs, just in time for pilot season.

    Charlie issues a statement:

Good gosh, Sheen's really, really off the deep end if he's calling Alex Jones, the tinfoil hat brigade's favorite radio host.

True, but I was under the impression the crew is not going to receive the money they were expecting from the remaining shows...

They won't, but they wouldn't have been getting paid regardless. They're considered independent contractors. Some of the actors probably have pay-or-play agreements, but not the hands.

Lorre is being stupid. They should just shoot remaining shows and any reference to Charlie can be that he's upstairs and passed out or in Vegas or whatever.

The shows would suck, but the show already sucks and Lorre could have 4-6 more shows to sell into syndication.

He's been Jones' buddy for a long, long time.

I understand what set Sheen off after reading about the vanity cards at the end of each episode. Apparently Lorre puts up some kind of little essay after the credits. Lately he's been taking shots at Sheen. On one Lorre listed all the ways he takes care of himself (doctor visits, works out, etc.) and wrote he'd be pissed if Sheen outlives him (despite being like 15 years younger).

Sounds like they've hated each other for a looooooooong time.

I didn't understand what they were talking about when they mentioned vanity cards.

They're shown on the broadcast after the credits?

If that's the case, I could see why Sheen would be pissed. Not that it's not true, or that Sheen's response was appropriate.

I'm sure Lorre thought he was being funny, but the "If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I'm going to be pissed." vanity card was a pretty stupid thing to write.

I thought Sheen laughed about it and said it wasn't a big deal when he went on Dan Patrick's show.
