    Funny one here. More than 30 years ago, we hired our first woman for the sports department. Her first day, the sports editor calls us all together and said we're going upstairs to a conference room for a meeting.
    She asked, "Where can I put my purse?"
    Sports editor said, "Uh, I don't know. We've never had that situation before."

    I recall a conversation between Holly Anderson and Lana Berry about this subject. I think it was on Berry's podcast.

    Ladies in sports journalism get treated to some weird, unwanted shit was the takeaway.

    I would be surprised if anybody who worked in sports journalism for a significant length of time didn't see or hear about some example of this unless they didn't work with any women at all.
