My point Jr/Shotglass is that his lifestyle is his business. As long as he can play, and I think that's the attitude many of his teammates will take.

He's likely not going to be in on running downs so I would put
greater emphasis on "reaching the QB" on passing downs.

Fine. It was Sam's choice to open his mouth and create the sideshow. Maybe it will be profitable for him. But surely he's smart enough to understand that not everyone is going to applaud.

I think it wasn't about applause Mark. He felt he was living a double life and he needed to straighten out. Nothing wrong with that. Folks can either accept him or not.

Brennan: "Michael Sam is the most important football player in the nation."

But really he was not leading a double life from everything I read. Teammates
knew and Sam did not hide the fact that he went to gay clubs.

Contrast that with Jason Collins who was clearly leading a double life.

What Sam decided to do was bring the rest of the world in on the fact that
he was gay rather than keep it private.

"Straighten out"? Nice pun. Yeah, some folks will accept him and some of us will not. So be it.

I suspect there are other homosexuals in pro sports who have chosen to keep their private lives private.

All of a sudden all of the liberal writers are no longer concerned for
    the dangers of the game.

It would be a home run now if Sam announced that he had
decided to forgo The NFL because he is concerned about head injuries.

Well, then how do you come to grips with pro athletes being rebuked and even penalized for Tweeting considerably tamer views than what you post here?

That's quite the indictment for gay-bashers everywhere.

Bunch of nonsense. Almost lobbying to make homosexuals a protected class in regard to hiring.

Boom, you're right in that he wasn't living a double life. I guess what I'm trying to say, without offending anyone, is that it's his life. People had problem with the kiss. If it were two women, not too many would be upset. But two dudes showing affection, that's too much for some folk.
