More political correctness run amok. Say something positive about homos, you're applauded. Say something negative, you're censored or rebuked. So much for free speech, eh? Free speech includes all speech, including hate speech.

Speaking just for myself, and trying to be as clear as possible, my problem was not so much the kiss itself, but the fact that it was deemed necessary to show it 7,386 times. They made it a sideshow.

Another bigot (or troll playing the role of a bigot) who does not understand what free speech truly is. Free speech does not mean that others can't tell you that what you say is disgusting. In fact, they are also allowed to suggest that you strongly consider shutting the fuck up.

And before Walter pulls his bullshit, I really don't give a damn if Mark means what he says or he is just playing a game. The point still stands.

You blame homophobe TV types for that one Jr/Shot. It didn't and doesn't have to air repeatedly. It's like a vitamin, once is enough.

I might have been able to deal with seeing "the kiss " once but over and over
not so much. When Sam allowed ESPN to have a camera at his draft party , he
    lost control of the narrative.

Walter gets such a kick being the smartest kid with the shortest one-liners, he tends not to see when he's being tone-deaf.

Just to be fair I was equally repulsed by this Mark Sanchez Metrosexual GQ photo.
as were many in the NFL. Aaron Rogers labeled it "embarrassing"

I told a friend the other day that watching two men kiss on TV was weird to me. He got angry and called me a homophobe. I think people rush to judgement to quickly. I don't have a problem with Michael Sam, his orientation or anyone else's. What Michael chooses to do is his own business and I won't judge him.

However, it is my opinion that it is weird to watch men kiss. Not because I am afraid I am going to catch cooties from watching it, but because it is something that you don't see everyday. By definition, that makes it out of the ordinary. The kiss didn't necessarily make me uncomfortable, but I didn't feel like I needed to see it many more times. All the other stuff was over the top and they really don't do that for other athletes so why treat Michael Sam any different.

In my mind, the whole goal of this should be that this is a non-story. So the columns and bantering about Sam and his situation is defeating the purpose. Moreover, I think we should be more tolerant when people give their opinion on the matter. For example, if an old codger says he doesn't like seeing two men kiss on TV and complains on Twitter that doesn't automatically make him Donald Sterling.

    Funny thing about that picture?
It was taken during a Jaguars home game.
