What round would it take for there not to be discrimination?

So because Dwight Freeney exists, talk of Sam being "undersized" deserves mockery?

Orakpo, Suh and Amukamara were all RD1 selections in 2008-10 Brown went in RD2 last year.

But the BIG12 aint the SEC.

Goodell has done enough power grabbing. It wouldn't surprise me to see him do something like that, but I certainly don't see it as a good idea.

Yeah, look how much A&M and Missouri have struggled since joining.

Switching gears from the NFL ... will Missouri's support of Sam cost it in recruiting?

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-football/news/20140211/michael-sam-missouri-sec-recruiting/?eref=sihp

Multiple SEC assistants say that Sam's coming out will be used by rival schools to negatively recruit against Missouri. "Coaches are going to be all over this," said one assistant at another school.

    ...

Another SEC assistant compared the prospect of coaches negatively recruiting against Missouri to when, according to the assistant, some tried to convince Virginia Tech commitments that the school was full of mass murderers in the aftermath of the campus massacre in 2007. The coach said he would never recruit with such tactics. But others?

    No.

You said to list the starting DEs in the NFL who are 6-2.

Just having some fun. Sam isn't even a DE in the NFL, as we both know.

Undersized means someone is too lazy to scout him. Football reference has Sams listed at 6-3., as a diminutive Jewish fellow myself, every inch is a blessing

This is just LTL being uninformed again. Feeney ran a 4.48 at Combine. From what we know now Sam is a 4.7. Huge difference.

    Whoa, whoa, whoa.

    1) What the hell are you talking about?

    2) Where in hell did I say that?

He'll get drafted by SF and be converted to center, that will satisfy everyone.

Sure, that's fine. Look, if he lays a big fart at the combine and doesn't help his case, then he fucked up or simply isn't good.

There are two annoying components here - people who will use his being gay as the reason he doesn't get picked - even if he sucks at the combine.

The other is the group that will insist his being gay has NOTHING to do with what happens, even if he lights up the combine. Just as there are those who will blame the league's discrimination no matter what, there are also plenty who will come up with any excuse to validate not picking him. If he disproves one flaw, there's an endless list of excuses. And they can, because it can't be proven.

If he can't play, he can't play. But the distraction thing is as bullshit as it gets.
