What does that say about Aaron Donald? All those awards he won as the top defensive lineman in college football, but Clowney went first overall and he slid all the way to 13!

Could you please show me where LTL asserted this "conspiracy theory" that Sam's sexuality caused his draft position to drop?
because I just scanned the past couple pages and didn't see it anywhere. Instead, I merely saw LTL suggest that folks here were jimmy-ing around his stats a bit to try to minimize his college accomplishments, which is not at all the same thing.

I've seen you do this sort of bullshit so many times--you are so eager to get into pissing matches that you make up fake positions and attribute them to posters who never actually said such a thing. You have real problems, oop.

I have never done what you just accused me of. Not once. I have made mistakes and misunderstood posts over the years, but I have never make up a position for another poster.

Please re-read my post. LTL does seem to be suggesting people are trying too hard to justify Sam's low draft position by messing with his statistics, but the theory he has been pushing all along is that the NFL would push/influence some team into drafting the guy. First it was the Steelers who would have to do it as payment for not penalizing the team a draft pick due to Tomlin's illegal sideline stroll last season. Now he is switching it to say league influence was behind the Rams taking Sam.

So cranberry was correct, Stoney. You were wrong.

If the NFL draft was still 12 or 16 rounds like the old days, the 7th round
would not look too bad.

Regardless, that still doesn't support your claim even if he wasn't kidding (even though he plainly was). That theory doesn't say he fell because of his sexuality, instead it essentially suggests the opposite, that the league would pressure teams to select him higher than they otherwise would because of this issue. Sorry, you fail, still no proof shown.
