According to this, the plea deal is close to getting done.

  4. Wojo's column reminded me of having to bury a couple of my dogs when I was a teenager. Not a pleasant experience ...

The AHS should publicly announce it doesn't want Michael Fucking Vick, Dog Murderer, near any domesticated animals ever again in his life. And they should demand a legal requirement (under pain of instant return to prison to fulfill his entire unserved sentence) to that effect should be part of any parole/early release agreement imposed by the court.

At some point we have to revive the concept of irredeemable shame. I'm fucking tired of hearing fucking scumbags say they're fucking sorry. We don't care if you're sorry.

They aren't sorry for what they did, they're sorry they got caught.

Exactly. The youth of America doesn't need to see Michael Vick mush-mouthing his way through a lawyer-brokered public service announcement, "yo man, don't kill your dawgs," and think "haha, that's funny, maybe I better not do that shit" -- the youth of America needs to see Michael Vick led off in cuffs for a few years, see a $100 million contract go up in flames, and think, "Sweet jumping Jeebus on a plutonium-powered pogo stick, I really really really really better not do that shit, like ever!!!!"

Dear talking out your ass as usual Starman:

The "youth of America" doesn't give a flying fuck about Michael Vick.

The "youth of America" is paying no attention to this shit.
The "youth of America," whether you want to believe it or not, pays very little attention to the NFL.

I'd agree on one point, all the "youth of America" knows about the NFL, they've gotten from Madden video games.

I just heard some of the details on ESPN ... I'm sorry, but I want to see Vick in jail for a long, long time. The note about drowning the dogs that survived the hangings ... ugh ... it just makes me sick to my stomach. What kind of person is capable of that kind of evil?

Lester Munson's article on ESPN made it seem like Vick's team is trying to simultaneously negotiate a deal with the NFL. Goodell is not going to commit to anything until the case is resolved, so Vick either has to take the deal with the feds and hope for the best with the NFL or give his case a shot in court.

The feds have filed papers saying they intent to add RICO charges if Vick does not plead. That, my friends, is called bringing down the hammer. If Vick is found guilty of RICO charges, the feds can really fuck him up good. Not only is he looking at increased prison time, but the proceeds of his dog fighting and his assets used (i.e. the land that his house sits on) could all become property of Uncle Sam.

And even if he somehow wasn't directly involved with this, he should be held accountable for the "friends" he keeps and for what's done on his property.
