. . . I can see why God hates you and your teams.

    Two things:

    1. I said "and other major outlets."

    2. I am amused by a blogger trying to lecture any of us about journalism and the potential impact of this. Go ahead, ignore a potentially huge story just because your understanding of sports journalism only extends to "Duh . . . I like Travis Hafner! Um . . .LeBron! . . . Dopey-dope . . . . . yay, Browns!!!!"

Just stop, dork. Sit on your couch, spout off, and blog today about the Indians' Hot Stove League and the Browns' AMAZING!!!!! season while the rest of the world (other than ESPN host Freddie Coleman) actually, you know, pays attention to the big story. Will players get busted? No.

But as a STORY, this is massive.

Of course not. It's not as if the "size of his neck and head" was worth accusing him of being a roid head before the dust settled. ::) In the case of Clemens, the wait and see mentality will show itself, something not offered to Bonds.

But did it make him a better pitcher or just longevity?

The amount of folks that hate Clemens may be similar to that of Bonds, just not as vociferous. This may change that. Or Bonds may be the most disagreeable player since Joey Belle

You go ahead just keep ignoring the fact that Clemens never testified in front of a grand jury, or that his mistress never squaked to reporters, or that he wasn't attempting to break the most hallowed record in American sports, or that Gary Sheffield never came forward and said Clemens trainer gave him steroids, or that his name didn't show up on thousands of documents seized in a raid by federal agents, or that Clemens trainer didn't go to prison because he refused to testify about their relationship.

Really, you're right. It's all about race. Nothing else.

    Kenny Rogers?

--Bulked up like a moose late in his career.

--Unusual durability and endurance late in his career.

    --Hothead cork-blowing incidents.

If he is on the list, it will break a lot of hearts...

    Who am I?

I pitched for both the Astros and the Rangers, and at the age of 41, in 1988, I had a WHIP of 1.241.

The next three years of my career (42-44 years old), I had my best three WHIP years in my HOF career, including a 1.006 WHIP at 44.

    Who am I?

Not saying he did it, but I would at least raise an eyebrow.
