See, isn't that the darndest thing...you're wondering about hats, and I'm thinking, 'I guess it doesn't make your genitals THAT small....'

It was pretty much a joke back then - Lansing, Santangelo got huge.

The other thing that is in the report is the incident where the bullpen catcher got nailed for trying to get a former colleague with the Marlins to bring a kit bag back to Miami for him. Happened to contain a pound of pot (we have good stuff up here, and the Cdn dollar was a joke back then).
In the aftermath of that, the kid, Luis Perez (a sweet kid, too) said there were something like 8 players he dealt with for steroids, and another dozen for HGH. Mitchell, of course, wouldn't name them.
But Perez is quoted as saying "the entire bullpen was on it."

Exhibit A: the 2002 Expos' bullpen:
    32 Jim Brower
    58 Joey Eischen
    49 Matt Herges
    34 Britt Reames
    43 Dan Smith
    51 Scott Stewart
    25 Scott Strickland
    52 T.J. Tucker

None surprise me. All journeyman. One replacement player. Many, many Bible-thumpers. Many long-time minor-leaguers who got a shot. Many flamed out from injuries early on.

All under the watch of Bud's friend, Frank Robinson.

It always comes back to Robinson for you, doesn't it? :D

I am not going to lie either - I am humbled by DD's kind gesture.

On another note wasn't the Trentonian the paper that came out with the headline "Roasted Nuts" when the mental hospital caught fire?

We are all good enough to work at the Trentonian.

    Probably.

    OUTING ALERT:

Boom is Dan Duquette. By suggesting Roger was in the twilight of his career you motivated him just enough to get off the couch and jam a needle in his fat ass.

Is there a link or transcript from David Justice's appearance on Colin Cowherd today? They ran it on SportsCenter, but I couldn't hear it because I am at work.
It sounded like Justice was pretty furious to be linked to this and was denying it. He was also saying Clemens should talk to the media and not just hide out.

Anyway, I'd like to hear the entire interview if possible.

I heard part of the Justice interview. He was pretty adamant that he never took them. That he was going to buy it, but then found out that it involved needles. And he said he hates needles.

Then he talked about his 2002 season and how if he had taken them in that offseason, wouldn't his numbers had been higher? I think he said his stats were something like .271, 18 HR, 51 RBI.

I love how these guys all claim, "Hey, wouldn't I be bigger?" or "Wouldn't my numbers be higher?" as a way to prove they didn't take PEDs.

Half of the positive tests have come from scrawny utility guys or journeymen pitchers. Body size or on-field success don't mean shit, one way or another, at this point.

PEDs don't E your P if you don't do the work.

So, let's engage in some rampant speculation here:

Who managed to talk his way out of the Mitchell Report? Probably a Met, but which Met? Can't be Mr. Met ... in spite of the swollen head, his on-field performance doesn't stand up.

So who got away with it?
