    This is crazy.

Three more shutout innings and Kershaw will pass Hoyt Wilhelm for second-lowest ERA of any pitcher since 1920, min 1000 IP. Mo's is lowest.

If PED use was indeed rampant, then it seems to this correspondent that it should be a non-issue vis-a-vis managerial performance. After all, if "everyone's doing it" then no particular team advantage has been gained.

You don't really understand how quotes are supposed to work, do you?

That was the best you could do even after editing the post? Sad.

    Dumb like foxes.

Want to hazard a guess how much that jersey, with error, is going to go for?

Because not "everybody was doing it" in 1988.
Baseball's Typhoid Mary flourished right under the watch of Tony La Russa.
Canseco became the first 40-40 man that season.
Then another cheat from that team broke the home run record 10 years later.
    Same manager.

LaRussa basically issued a journalistic fatwa against Boswell for talking about the "Jose Canseco milkshake" in 1988, and the writers went along and made Boswell very uncomfortable during that postseason.

He was way more than a blind eye. He was an adamant protector.

Alderson, for his part, seems pretty miffed but won't rain on La Russa's parade. "I'm not going to comment on that until at least Monday," he told the Daily News.

    Definitely checking the tabs tomorrow.

    Even Carney was jackin' 'em.

What is your stake in all of this?
Why do you howl when these scumbags are identified for the stains they've left?
I will agree the hypocrisy of La Russa making it to Cooperstown and his cheats not making it is unacceptable.
