@mccoveychron almost melted every server in the Bay Area when he joked that Crick left the Grizzlies game in street clothes, hugging everyone.

Not good for the ol' news cred there.

Joking that he was traded to the Cubs for a bucket of balls and a fungo bat ... now THAT's quality humor.

Corey Kluber -- he pitches for the Indians -- just threw his first shutout, an 85-pitch, 69-strike, 8K, 0-BB effort.

    Poor King Felix.

All he did was allow 2 ER in 7 IP, the 14th straight start he's gone at least 7 and allowed 2 ER or less.

    That breaks Tom Seaver's record.

M's literally have the worst offense in the AL, at least in runs scored.

Lately, teams just walk Cano — intentionally or not — if there's anyone on base and dare the likes of Logan Morrison or Kendrys Morales to get a clutch hit.

Seattle pitchers will have to wait another year for an actual offense to back them up.

The Dan Uggla era is over in San Francisco, and probably in MLB altogether.

    0-for-11, 6 Ks, 3 errors.

    Lasted nine days.
    Tough being right again.
Waste of time for both him and the Giants.
He should be in Legion ball.

When the Giants took him, I said I wasn't surprised somebody would take a stab. I'll now be surprised if anyone else takes a stab.

And the Dodgers got Darwin Barney, not a great player for sure but far superior to Uggla in every way.

Jeff Passan reports Jon Lester traded to the "West Coast." I assume that's to a team, not the entire region.

To Oakland with Gomes for Cespedes, per Rosenthal.

    Wow.
