    Math's not exactly right (and grammar is way off), but:

    Latest 30 for 30 short is on Danny Almonte, the Bronx pitcher who dominated in the 2001 Little League World Series but was later revealed to be 14, not 12. Was a huge story for about 2 weeks ... then 9/11 happened:

    Watched that yesterday. Yes, the kid knew he was 14 ... and I still felt kinda bad for him by the end of that.

    Josh Reddick's walk-up music is Wham's Careless Whisper.

    Brewers starter Mike Fiers, who beat Zack Greinke last time out, has 14 Ks through six shutout innings against the Cubs. He's over 100 pitches, so his day might be done. The bullpen is up.

    BTW, Fiers tops out at 90 mph.

    Couple years ago there was an article in Daily News (maybe Post)when he was playing in an independent league. One of his coaches said 'His life is a three-part play of bad decisions.'

    Miguel Cabrera bobblehead night went well for the Tigers, except for one thing.

    I guess the Tigers laid off their copy editors, too.

    Multitasking in the bullpen, and failing there, too?

    @MLBStatoftheDay 8m
    #Rays are 4th team to reach .500 in a season in which it earlier found itself as deep as 18 games under .500 (1/2).

    @MLBStatoftheDay 7m
    The others: The 1899 Louisville Colonels, 2004 Devil Rays and 2006 @Marlins (2/2).
