Nope. Even before the current month's 1-HR power drought, Cabrera had only 16 HRs in 105 games. Over his past 5-6 seasons, a more typical figure would be 30. A nearly 50% dropoff in homers is a big deal.

His doubles are up though (already 14 more than last year in 100 fewer PAs), so it just might be that six or seven homers last year are coming up just short this year. It he was at 24 or 25 and going to get past 30, then no one says anything.

And to be fair, right when he is supposed to be in his prime he goes for 44 HRs the last two seasons. Before that he finished with 30, 38, 34, 37, 34, 26, 33 and 33. So to say he should be at 30 through 105 games is wrong

Mariners sweep Sox in Fenway for the first time ever.

Sox 11-game homestand ends on 8-game losing streak.

    Oh fuck. You're right.

    I misread the standings.

Did I just hear that right?

Sale gave up an RBI-hit to a lefty for the first time since August '13.

Jered Weaver threw 1,056 90+ fastballs in 2010.

So far in 2014 he has thrown 17.

Doesn't bode well for tonight as that dump has been a house of horrors for the Halos this season/decade.

And I stand corrected as it's a party on the bases for the Halos. Eight runs on 12 hits .... and we have only one out in the fourth.

Kazmir threw 6 pitches in the 1st.

Then the 2nd inning happened, and 3rd, and 4th.

    Kazmir didn't start the 4th.

Then there's the home run Trout just hit.

The HOME RUN TO DEEP CENTER Trout just hit.

    You're not reading me.
Cabrera's injuries are reminiscent of how guys like Palmeiro, McGwire, Bonds, Sosa and Rodriguez broke as years passed, all with pain in key joints and in their backs.

Dude, if you are going to make accusations you can't back up, just make them. This approach is gutless. For all your many flaws, gutless isn't usually among them.
