Anybody who's watched even a few Royals games this year laughs at that assertion

They'd have clinched the division a week ago with a different manager.

No shit. They woulda won the division by a few games with a decent manager.

EDIT: Tony beat me to it.

I was at the Cell when Kerry Robinson climbed the wall for a ball that hit the warning track. Fuck that memory. This ones better.

I would have to say my dream World Series would be Pirates-Royals.

Are your dreams always exactly the same as oop's nightmares?

Nothing nightmarish about it at all. Would be nice to see two franchises overcome the deck that is stacked against them. I've still got decades of history on my side of the argument about baseball's finances.

With Friday's loss, San Francisco won't host NL wild card game.

Yost definitely would've thrown 4 shutouts in a row last week. Probably would've hit 8 homers too.

I'd love to see the Rangers fuck over the A's and sweep the last two to keep them out of the playoffs. Turnaround from the epic Texas collapse of two years ago.

Of course, it won't happen because the M's will gack and the A's will back in and douse Cal Ripken's locker with champagne.
